Give us a double portion of your spirit.

With Saint Marie Rivier, we rejoice and give thanks to God. We celebrate this gift of Sainthood in our religious family, a gift to be treasured each day: Saint Marie Rivier. With joy in our hearts, we pray to you dear Mother, to give us a double portion of your spirit.

Gathered at the Basilica of Saint Ambrose and Charles al Corso on the 14th of May, was the threshold of the great day of grace, the Canonization of Blessed Marie Rivier.  Together as a community, we were gathered to unite ourselves with our new Saint, St. Marie Rivier and all the Saints in heaven to glorify the Triune God in song, praise, dancing and gratitude. The procession was a magnificent way to express the glory of God. All nations will sing the glory of God. Mother Maria dos Anjos, gave the welcome message as we have come from different, far and near countries. Despite of distances and differences, we were ONE! Mother had expressed her joy of after many years, we have reached  to  this glorious day! This historical  moment in  the Congregation and in the Church, which  invited us to enter into a new time… a time of deep spiritual renewal for the glory of God and the happiness of all.

The celebration was filled with meaning. We celebrate what were most loved in our Foundress’ life. Jesus Christ, and His Mother, the Church and the world whom in need of spiritual renewal and healing. We listened to her words that inspired many men and women, youth and children in every generation.

We also listened to the Bishop of St. Hyancinthe, Msgr. Christian Rodembourg, who made alive the prophetic words of Mother Rivier. One day my daughters will cross the seas ! Marie Rivier envisioned a large family who would make Jesus Christ known and love everywhere and to spread God’s glory and praise!… as she had lived!

The evening was brought to a little halt as we listened to the testimony of the Degamo family. They were the recipient of God’s great grace of a miracle through the intercession of Blessed Marie Rivier. Gemma, the mother of Angel Marie Vier and with her siblings shared the faith journey  of the miracle story. Blessed Marie Rivier came into their home when darkness descended upon the family. As christian  family they make prayer as a weapon to surmount any challenges and difficulties in their family life. It was their faith in God that brought change to their situation. God heard their praer and brought to full healing their yet unborn child Angel Marie Vier. Faith defied medical prognosis. Today, the miracle baby is a living testimony of the powerful intercession of Mother Rivier before God.

Filled with joyful gratitude, we finally blessed the evening with Mary’s praise the Magnificat and a blessing by Bishop Emeritus Grachane of Mozambique ! Each of us present can find our voice in Mary’s words´ My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord !
